Why Join Us ?
Blanket empowers youth whom can not afford therapy and seek justice through arts, providing professional therapist, mentors, portfolio building, blanket sewing healing circle and providing knowledge of entrepreneurship by printing and framing their images and displaying them in our yearly fund raising gala. These images are then presented for auction and or sale. Which in turn gives survivors back their confidence and a sense of Retribution.
Why I'm telling my daughter about my
Mitzy's daughter is nine years old and in the fourth grade. She likes to play sports, sing and play dress-up in her mom's clothes. A happy kid, in a happy-kid world. But Mitzy needs to tell her daughter something, and she's worried that when she does, it will be the end of that world.

Blanket aim to be a reputable program for the Province of Ontario seeing that youth whom have been victimized seek little therapeutic assistance one may assume based on high cost of therapy and the shame it brings when expressing such trauma.
Blanket is hoping to partner with the city of Toronto to help deliver and create awareness campaign by providing an intense 6-month program where the youth will be introduced to different forms of relationships.
The program will aim to help youth target the areas where they feel pain and be able to express this through many soothing therapeutic methods such as one on one coaching, group talk, blanket circle and the embellishment of the photography piece.

The change is a process not an event."

say "I'm healing, I'm rediscovering myself, I'm starting over."

"You can recognize survivors of abuse by their courage. When silence is so very inviting, they step forward and share their truth so others know they aren't alone."
